Apprentice & Development Partner

Ian Williams have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Partner (also known as Apprentice and Development Partner) to recruit, support, and develop our people across the business, with a key focus on, but not limited to, Apprentices, Trainee Surveyors, and
Contract Managers.

You will support the business's aims and commitments to have 15% of our workforce as trade apprentices. We offer an open, friendly, and professional environment at IW with an unwavering focus to appreciate and

The Programme Partner role:

  • Support the development of a coaching culture partnering with line managers and site mentors to excel at developing apprentices and trainees
  • Champion apprentices and trainees, always looking for ways to improve their experience and aid achievement 
  • Manage a selection of apprentices and trainees, ensuring successful delivery and completion of their programmes and their pastoral care
  • Work closely with training providers to enable IW apprentices to complete their training successfully in a timely manner
  • Manage Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) funding claim management and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) processes for the selection of apprentices and trainees.
  • Note: This partnering role may require some travel to business units, sites, and
    training venues.

What will you bring as a Programme Partner:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within apprenticeships/early careers with some relatable HR/training & development experience
  • A genuine passion for attracting, developing, and most importantly supporting apprentices/trainees in reaching their potential
  • Experience of working with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS)
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder engagement & relationship management, partnering with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • An accurate and detailed approach to your work
